JUNIOR AND MINIROOS EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR 2019
With the announcement of a restructure of Junior Football, in Victoria from Football Victoria (FV) last week, it is important to understand what this means, for Geelong Rangers SC moving forward.
The announced restructure commencing in season 2020, means Geelong Rangers and other regional clubs have the opportunity to compete with the very best Victoria has to offer.
To achieve this goal, we as a club need to structure our teams to have the best possible teams/players playing together in 2019, ready for 2020.
Geelong Rangers Junior Football Committee has agreed, that the club wants to offer this opportunity to the talented players in the region. Whilst also continuing to provide Football opportunities, for all boys and girls, who want to play at a more social level.
At the Miniroos level U-9 & U-11, kids with ability will be identified and allocated a team accordingly. There will be no trials for Miniroos, allocations to teams will be made by the Junior football committee.
The Geelong Rangers selection policy, clearly out lines the criteria for team selection.
We need to have our structure in place in 2019, to be considered as part of this restructure commencing in 2020.
As a club, there is clear criteria we must meet, before we can be considered. This criteria can be viewed in the attached FV link explaining the restructure.
As part of the new structure the club has run trials in November and will be offering places in training squads in December. If you missed the trials but would still like to be considered for one of these squads please complete the EOI form below.
Together we can give our kids the challenge they deserve.
